The Robey

We had such a great stay and really wanted to leave a review because this was the first weekend my husband and I have been away since having our baby, and we were in town from Chicago for an event, so it was a really special trip for us. Edgar was amazing at check-in — he gave us a free upgrade to a king room, answered all our questions, and was just super kind and attentive. The room was great and we left feeling really taken care of. This is what good hospitality is all about. Huge thanks to Edgar and the team!

One of the best hotel stays I have ever had! The staff was amazing, the young man that worked the night valet was so polite and went above and beyond! The room was fantastic, lots of space and very comfortable. We will return for another stay for sure.

The stay at the Robey was extremely nice. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I loved the industrial sheik vibe of our room. The shower was awesome with its own private changing area. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. My son and his wife stayed in a different area of The Robey. They had difficulty sleeping due to loud music from somewhere in the hotel and felt that the setup of room’s bathroom was not very private.

I would give this hotel more stars if I could! I stayed here weekly for two months while traveling for work in Chicago, and it is hands down my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. After traveling almost weekly for three years, I don’t say that lightly. The front desk team and valets are exceptional. Armando, Jose, and Andrew consistently went above and beyond. They always welcomed me by name, checked in on how my week was going, and made the chaos of work travel feel manageable. It’s rare to find a team that is not only professional, but genuinely kind. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a fantastic location, but what truly sets it apart is the staff. Their warmth, consistency, and attention to detail made it feel like a home away from home. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know visiting Chicago!

Booked last minute for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised! The photos made it look like a standard modern Marriott, but the art deco style gives the place a lot of charm. Full café downstairs, rooftop bar with great views, super nice staff, free drinks in the fridge, and free HBO streaming. If you’re sensitive to noise, the train and Subterranean can get a little loud, but they provide white-noise machines. The neighborhood has tons of walkable restaurants and markets. I also loved the electric blackout blinds, dimmable lights everywhere, and my amazing corner room. Highly recommend!

Beautiful 1929 Art Deco building, with stunning views. The original (linen) blueprints on display in the hotel corridors were a nice touch. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and laid out. The staff were polite and helpful at all times. You can’t beat that view from the Up Bar too. Loved our stay and we’ll be back. The only minor note is that early-morning staff conversations outside guest bedrooms can carry, but we had a lovely restful stay.

One of the best surprises I’ve had in a long time. Great service, beautiful views, and very comfortable for a work trip. The bathroom had a great view and layout, the tv was modern and easy to use, and the roof has the best view of the city. Incredibly fun neighborhood as well.

I loved this hotel! So convenient to O’hare. Blue Line entrance is right across the street! I asked for a room with a view of the El & I got one with amazing rooftop views & a direct view of Damen station. If you’re an urban enthusiast this is definitely the hotel for you! Lots of stores & restaurants right outside the hotel. Will definitely come back on my next trip to Chicago!
